Lena has been 'chatting' up a storm lately. Everything she picks up she has a story to tell me about it. When she wakes up in the morning she chats away and laughs in her crib. I wish I knew what she was thinking and saying. Lena has been a little busy body lately too. If you sit something down it is like she has some sort of radar and she is right there to get it. Daddy had his wallet on the dining room table the other day and she was able to reach up and grab it. I was in the living room and she started bringing me random receipts. Where did you get these Lena,? I asked. She ran back into the dining room and I took a peek. There she was with daddy's wallet in hand! She carried it around the house and then went for the credit cards and money.
Lena also had her first trip to a playground with a sandbox last weekend (10/21/11). She had so much fun! At first I sat her down and she seemed like she didn't want to be there. She didn't know what to do. The look on her face was precious, Mommy why are we sitting in this cold dirt? Then she started watching the other kids digging and playing. Her curiosity got the best of her and she began to play. She would pick up little piles of sand and put them on the wall of the sandbox. She found all of the mulch that had fallen in and put that on the wall too. We found a little plastic rake someone had left and gave it to Lena. She loved it! She raked and raked and then licked the rake. She kept trying to run over to a little girl that was playing and knock down her sand fort. Later she started grabbing handfuls of sand and just started dumping them on her legs. She was covered with sand! There was sand in her socks, her pants, her jacket and her diaper but she had so much fun. We were there for at least an hour.
Lena also had her first halloween party at My Gym. She dressed as a little bumble bee. She looked so cute! She wouldn't leave her little bee head on but it still looked cute.
